Manchester City are now the only unbeaten side in the Barclays Premier League after beating Newcastle United. Mario Balotelli got the opener from the penalty spot on 41 minutes with Micah Richards adding a second three minutes later.
Sergio Aguero converted a second penalty on 72 minutes and Dan Gosling got a consolation in the final minute for the Magpies who lost their undefeated record to the leaders.
